Tyler McHenry, Director of Resource Management Projects

Hello! My name is Tyler McHenry and I'm a second year Environmental Engineering major. My passion for sustainability stems from my love for nature and the outdoors. I'm always on the lookout for opportunities to get outside and adventure! I joined ESW in order to participate in and learn from projects that embody the principles of sustainability. As a member of the Waste to Energy project, I have experienced first-hand all that a project has to offer, both to its members and UCSD as a whole. As Director, I'm committed to facilitating the success of all resource management projects. If you are interested in joining or starting a project, contact me at tmchenry@ucsd.edu. Go ESW!

Maaz Ahmad, Director of Solar Projects
Hey! My name is Maaz Ahmad, and I’m a second year Electrical Engineer in Revelle College. I’m excited to serve as the new Director of Solar Projects, where I'll be working alongside current and potential projects as they strive to implement solar energy into various engineering projects. I became a part of ESW Fall of 2014 as a project member of the Energy House team and it was during this time I grew a real passion and understanding in renewable energy. I believe engineering and sustainability go hand in hand, we as engineers need to not only aim for finding the most efficient solution to a problem, but also the most environmentally conscious. It is because of this that I think ESW is the perfect organization to not only get a hands on experience in engineering, but also to make a positive environmental impact on and off campus! I’m excited to have the opportunity to become involved in the current solar projects, and look forward to aiding in the creation of new projects.
Have the next great solar project idea, or just want to know more about the current projects we’re working on? Don’t hesitate to email me at maazahmed@outlook.com!
