Thailand: Water & Energy Project
The Hydroelectricity team is working to develop a mini-hydroelectric power system by channeling the water from a near-by waterfall. The power will be utilized to help purify water by providing the electricity to run a UVC water filter. The current obstacles that the team is facing include: finding the best way to increase the speed of the water in order to spin the wheel faster, and how to effectively reroute water that we use in our generator back into the current village infrastructure.
How we utilize water to maximize its potential!
On our current project, we are intercepting the water pipe that the village have already lay out to run our Pelton wheel. This method captures the energy from running water which would otherwise be wasted.
